The Officers and Sergeants from the Village of Riverdale recently fought off an attempt by the Village to re-write the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.  During prolonged negotiations, the Bargaining Team of Willie Darkried, Dave Demik, John Hille, Mark Kashirsky and Tara Powers held fast as the Village demanded take backs and concessions.  At the conclusion of negotiations, the team agreed to a wage increase of 12% over the three year agreement, with a gradual increase in insurance contributions.  They also bargaining for additional compensation while assigned to on-call duty.  They were assisted by Ralph Nikischer; John Roche; George Holtschlag and Dan Mahoney of the Labor Council.
