Livingston County Deputies will receive 7.5% raises over the life of their new contract which runs from December 1, 2013 and November 30, 2016.  In addition to these raises everyone will enjoy their annual step increases as well.  For those out of the step system additional bonus money will be paid out.  For those contemplating retirement, Deputies have three options to utilized unused sick leave towards retirement. Tactical Officers, Detectives, Sergeants and Lieutenants all received additional stipends for the critical work they perform.  OIC pay is now an added benefit as well.  Medical and Uniform allowances were also increased.

Staff Representative Keith Turney was quoted as saying:  “Our team was very professional in their approach to negotiations and the County noticed that immediately.  Our demands were logical, sensible and articulately presented by the team.  Because of this approach we achieved much more than anticipated.  And because of professional relationship that was established it will be easy to address future issues that are bound to come up."
