The Champaign County Sheriff's Department and the Labor Council representing Correctional Sergeants recently settled their collective bargaining negotiations with a new 3 year Agreement.  Highlights include an increase in wages of 6.75% for the duration of the Agreement, in addition to a one time signing bonus of $500.  The residency rule was changed to include adjacent counties, and insurance cost issues were adressed.  A weapon loan program was implemented to allow eligible members to purchase firearms for use within employment.  Bargaining Team Members Brad Morris, Josh Sapp and Arnold Mathews were assisted by IL FOP Labor Council Attorney John Weathers.
