Henry County Deputies (Unit 1), Correctional Deputies, Telecommunicators and secretaries (Unit 2) reached a three year contract after an interest arbitration/mediation.  The new Agreement calls for market adjustments to the wage scales in the first year, as well as an across the board increase.  Wages were also increased in the remaining two years of the contract.  Additional changes agreed to prior to the arbitration included changes to sick leave, shift bidding, and including the 12-hour shift schedule into the contract.  The units were represented by Jon Hornback, Brian Haars, Dirk Wilkinson, Scott Raley, Kevin Clarke, Christine Hampton, Elaine Helg and Lori Hess.   Labor Council Field Representative David Nixon assisted in the negotiations and Staff Attorney James Daniels headed up the arbitration effort.
