24 Hour Critical Incident Hotline: 877-IFOP-911

By Dave Nixon, Field Representative - Wednesday, February 3, 2016

Fairfield Police Officers, Sergeants and Dispatchers reached a three-year agreement with the City.  After a productive negotiation, wages were increased in each of the three years of the contract.  In addition, parties agreed to amend the city partially funded insurance, as a result the premium costs were kept lower and there was no change in the premium cost sharing. Discipline will now be reviewed through the grievance and arbitration provision of the contract.  Employees working on a holiday will earn 1.5 times their rate of pay for those hours worked.  A modest sick leave at retirement plan was initiated.  The unit was represented at the table by Cam Simpson, Tom Windland and Justin Zurliene; Labor Council Field Representative David Nixon assisted the team.
