DeWitt County is attempting to recover from a past Board Chairperson's rule that depleted their reserves and lost the County $1,000,000.00 of revenue when they defied a contract provision with the landfill in a dispute.  The new Board has reestablished relations with the landfill, but is still trying to recover from the financial hole they were placed in.  Even with the financial problems facing the Board, the teams achieved a 2% across the board increase to their wage matrix.  The members of the bargaining teams for the Deputies, Corrections and Telecommunicators unit. did an incredible job considering the circumstances they faced.  They were assisted by Field Supervisor Jerry Lieb during the negotiations.
