A four year contract was reached between the City of Gibson City and its Police Officers.  The contract calls for wage increases of 3.5%, 3%, 3.5% and 3%, with an additional wage step added for years 20+ in the amount of 3%.  Veteran's Day was added to the list of holidays.  Shift differential was increased to 35 cents an hour for evenings and 50 cents an hour for the midnight shift.  The City agreed to provide two department cell phones to be used by officers for official duty only; thus eliminating the officers using their personal phones and subjecting them to discovery.  And finally, the practice of providing two personal days in the first year of hire was put in the contract.
