By Jerry Lieb, Field Representative - Friday, November 18, 2016

The Roodhouse Patrolmen and Sergeants achieved a 6.5% increase over a three year agreement along with a $500 signing bonus.  A major breakthrough was achieved when the City agreed to provide the National FOP Legal Defense Plan for each officer annually.  The uniform quartermater provisions were changed to an annual voucher system with a separate stipend for boots.  The ballistic vest was excluded from the voucher system and is to be provided by the City.  Some buyback provisions were added to their comp-time language along with adding seniority shift bidding language and minor concessions to the health insurance provisions.  A. J. McAdams served as the Labor Committee Chairman and represented his unit.  He was assisted by Labor Council Field Supervisor Jerry Lieb.
