The Swansea Officers and Sergeants successfully warded off the Employer's attempt to link the results of mandatory blood tests with employees' health insurance premium contributions.  Both sides eventually agreed to strong Contracts that increases memers' flexibility in using benefit time, expands bereavement leave, grants the ability to attend union meetings in paid status, guarantees that wages will increase by 2.5% per year for four years, and limits dependent medical premiums to no more than $250/month for the term of the Contracts.  Bargaining team of Greg Woolery and Scott Lieb were assisted by Labor Council Attorney James Daniels.
