The Kewanee Police Department has a new three year agreement.
Members were able to negotiate significant increase in wages each year of the agreement. Members were also able to increase the percentages between ranks for salary purposes and slightly increase vacation time. Many other beneficial language changes throughout the entire contract were also agreed upon.
Members agreed to an increase in insurance costs and a two tier sick leave hours buy-out system.
The bargaining team of Steve Kijanowski, Michael Minx, Nick Welgat and Justin Reed did a great job representing the members. The team was assisted by Field Representative Jay Titus.
