The Batavia Sergeants have reached an agreement for a 3 year successor contract with their Employer. The members will receive across the board increases of 2.75% per year for each year of the contract, and the same annual percentage increases in the amounts of their roll call and master sergeant stipends. They will receive dollar increases in the uniform allowance, the new sergeant uniform stipend and the gun safe allowance. The years of service as a sergeant required to be eligible for master sergeant was decreased and they achieved a new 8 hour benefit for a days work when City Hall is closed due to an emergency. In exchange for these improvements, the members agreed to modest changes in comp time, including a 160 hour cap on number of hours that can be used in a year. Congratulations to the team consisting of James Netnin, Eric Mathewson and Vince Deblasio. They were assisted by Attorney Tamara Cummings.
