By David Nixon, Field Representative - Thursday, June 27, 2019
Henry County Deputies, Investigators, and Sergeants reached a new four-year agreement, with wage increases of 2% in each year of the agreement; also, in addition to the ABI, the wages were increased in the form of market adjustments of 1.5% in year three and 2% in year four. Annual pay for sergeants and investigators was increased by $500. The unit also achieved payment for deputies named to serve as officer in charge in specific situations. The agreement contains a number of changes as the result of the deputies separating their contract from the unit made up of correctional officers, telecommunicators and clerical staff. Prior to this contract, both units were covered under one contract. Now the contracts are two separate documents. The Deputy unit team consisted of Chairman Scott Raley, Jon Hornback, Charles “Ben” Franklin, Brian Haars, David Davis and George Marquez. The unit was assisted in the negotiations by Field Representatives David Nixon and Jay Titus.
