General Counsel Tamara Cummings thanking Governor Pritzker for signing HB 2766 into law. HB 2766 is the Labor Council’s mental health bill, which was supported by all of the FOP organizations. The law will make it easier for First Responders to seek and receive mental health treatment and support. The bill also expanded the scope of a previous Labor Council bill which was signed into law and makes it illegal for an Employer to take negative action against a law enforcement officer who loses his or her FOID card simply because he or she sought mental health treatment.
