Congrats to the Bargaining team in obtaining a fair contract that provides increased workplace benefits and wages. A four year Agreement providing a 10% general salary increase coupled with a new Veterans holiday, enhanced bereavement leave and removal of the residency requirement was favorably embraced by the membership. The bargaining team did agree to restructure shift trade practice and to a graduated increase for single coverage health insurance to match family coverage at 18% in 2022. Notwithstanding a 4 month hiatus, both the Bargaining team of Josh Talavera- Little, Brianna Olin, Kyle Smith, William Mason, Eric Morey and the Employer’s representatives are commended for the respect and professional approach to addressing mutual concerns. The bargaining process was assisted by Field Representative Bruce Wisniewski.
